Free memory sticks for Automata BCM training delegates
Automata will now be giving a free memory stick to all delegates attending its monthly two day BCM Masterclass for professionals leading BCM programmes or projects. In addition, memory sticks will be given to delegates attending their new one day BCM induction day that has been designed for individuals supporting the BCM programmes undertaken to protect their organisations or who are new to business continuity. The memory sticks will contain the course notes and useful BCM information for students.

Blackouts could hit southern California again
Limited high voltage line capacity and the mothballing of old power plants could leave Southern California on the brink of rolling blackouts in the next couple of years, according to a report released on Friday October 22nd.

Implementing PAS 56
Survive has launched a new training course entitled ‘Implementing PAS 56 – the emerging standard’. Approved by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), this new course will help participants to understand the implications of PAS 56 for their business continuitymanagement programme, and to apply the knowledge gained to their organisational structure.
