President Bush declares major disaster for North Dakota
FEMA has announced that federal disaster aid has been made available to the State of North Dakota to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by a severe winter storm and record and/or near record snow from October 4 - 6, 2005. Acting FEMA Director R. David Paulison said President Bush authorized federal funding for state and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe winter storms. The designated counties are Benson, Billings, Bottineau, Bowman, Burke, Dunn, Golden Valley, McHenry, McKenzie, McLean, Mercer, Oliver, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Stark, Towner, and Ward and the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.

Reed Exhibitions acquires Business Continuity Expo and Technology for Compliance Expo
In a joint statement Reed Exhibitions and IMP Events have announced an agreement that will see Reed Exhibitions take full ownership of both the Business Continuity Expo and Technology for Compliance Expo events. To ensure stability in exhibitor and supplier relationships, IMP Events will retain full management responsibility and control over the delivery of the 2006 events and will remain involved in a consultative capacity for the 2007 events. Business Continuity and Technology for Compliance will take place at ExCeL in London on the 15th & 16th March 2006.
