Risk Manager

Location: US, Bedford, Massachusetts
Organization: Hanscom Federal Credit Union


Supports the Vice President of Risk Management regarding all aspects of the risk management program, including business continuity planning, incident response planning, risk assessments and the tracking of risk metrics/tolerances.

  1. Ensures compliance in the following areas (E)
    1. Business Continuity Planning (ongoing)
    2. Incident Response Planning (ongoing)
    3. Risk Assessments (ongoing)
    4. Other compliance issues as needed
  1. Business Continuity Program (E)
    1. Performs the annual business continuity planning update.
    2. Facilitates training and testing.
    3. Coordinates with the IT disaster recovery program.
    4. Tracks testing recommendations until completion.
  1. Incident Response Program (E)
    1. Coordinates training and testing.
    2. Tracks testing recommendations until completion.
    3. Updates the plan as needed to ensure compliance.
  1. Risk Management Program (E)
    1. Assists with the development of metrics and risk tolerances from the credit union’s risk appetite statements.
    2. Performs risk management reporting for the Risk Management Committee and the Board.
    3. Tracks risk assessment recommendations until completion.
    4. Manages new risk assessments, policies and procedures and or revises existing risk assessments, policies and procedures.
  1. Other (M)
    1. Assists with internal, external audits and regulatory examinations.
    2. Responds to and implements corrective action for findings and recommendations of federal examiners and internal and external auditors.
    3. Supports the Risk Management Committee as needed.
    4. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and 5 to 10 years of experience in business continuity planning, risk management, and/or incident response is required. 

One or more of the following certifications is preferred: 

  • CERA
  • RIMS Certificate
  • RMA Certificate
  • CRM
  • CBCP
  • CBCI
