Business Continuity Specialist

Are you an experienced Business Continuity Specialist looking for a contract opportunity to create a Business Continuity Plan from the ground up for a local Seattle mortgage company? In this position you will own the entire process of writing a Business Continuity Plan, working with department heads and company stakeholders, owning planning, Gap, and risk analysis. You will work through three phases of the BC process: (1) Business Impact Analysis, (2) Use BIA results to develop Business Continuity Plans, and (3) Design and facilitate tabletop exercises which evaluate a team s ability to carry out their BC Plans. 

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience working in Business Continuity, Business Resiliency or Emergency Management roles
  • Proficient in High Availability, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
  • Previous experience evaluating DR test strategies and environments and providing recommendations to close gaps and/or improve the DR test capabilities
  • Team Player, motivated and hard working
  • Previous experience in the financial sector
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
