Risk Management Institution of Australasia presents its 2016 Award Winners

RMIA (Risk Management Institution of Australasia) has presented its annual awards at an event in Melbourne.

Three awards are presented each year:

Risk Manager of the Year

The Risk Manager of the Year award recognises individual risk practitioners who deliver excellence in the management of risk for their organization.

The 2016 Risk Manager of the Year was Rebecca Gurney from Stanwell Corporation. Highly commended candidates were Brian Holding and Ken Doughty. 

Risk Consultant of the Year

The Risk Consultant of the Year award is presented to an individual who is deemed to have delivered excellence in the management of risk management services for their clients.

The 2016 Risk Consultant of the Year was Rod Farrar of Paladin Risk Management. Rinske Geerlings received Highly Commended in this category. 

Risk Student of the Year

Candidates from full-time or part-time tertiary or vocational education students undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate studies in a risk management discipline can apply for the Risk Student of the Year Award.

The 2016 Risk Student of the Year was Emilio van Doorn from NSW Correctional Services through Paladin Risk Management. Leanne Ma and Kathleen Riches were Highly Commended in this category.
