On 23 May the ITIL Qualification Board made its final decision on the naming of the new ITIL V3 qualifications, which are the ITIL Intermediate Certificates, ITIL Expert for the higher level and ITIL Master for the advanced level.
It also announced the release dates of the Intermediate Stream of Certificates, of which there are nine in total.
New official qualification titles
- ‘Service Lifecycle and Service Capability Modules’ and ‘Managing Across the Lifecycle’ will now be known officially as ‘ITIL Intermediate Certificates’.
- A candidate who has achieved the minimum accumulation of 22 credits across a selection of balanced V2 and V3 modules will be awarded the ITIL Expert Certificate.
- Candidates who satisfy the requirement of the currently titled ‘Advanced level’ will be awarded the ITIL Master Certificate.
