NATS is the UKs leading air navigation service provider, handling over 2 million flights each year.
Are you an established Business Continuity Manager or someone with significant Business Resilience and Continuity experience looking for a rewarding career in one of the most exciting and forward looking organisations in the UK aviation industry?
Ensure that the NATS group maintains and continuously improves a fit for purpose resilience and continuity policy and capability that has documented processes making up a plan which is agreed across the business and regularly trained and exercised. You will be expected to provide assurance to the NATS Executive team that all related resilience work has been carried out correctly. The role is to act as the focal point of resilience and continuity knowledge in the NATS group and, as the Resilience Programme Manager, to bring together organisational entities to ensure and assure that the resilience and continuity plan will work when called upon. The role will assist in identifying business risk related to resilience and to get the business to act upon those risks, either through mitigating action or by ensuring the business makes a decision to tolerate the risk.
The Business Continuity Manager is a new and unique role to NATS and reports to the Legal Director who is Chair of the Business Continuity Steering Group and is responsible for leading the formalisation of a Resilience and Continuity Plan, supporting an economic regulatory licence condition set by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. NATS is also moving to a Service Oriented world, so a good understanding of Service Orientation and ITIL would be an advantage. NATS is seeking to align to ISO 22301 and in the fullness of time may seek to certificate to it, therefore a sound knowledge of this standard would be an advantage.
