Responsible for assisting in developing, implementing and monitoring activities for the Bank's enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management Program in accordance with corporate policy and established standards based on regulatory requirements and Business Continuity industry professional practices. This includes the areas of emergency response, crisis management, business continuity and acting in a consultative role with Vendor Risk Management, Information Technology and other enterprise risk management disciplines. This position will lead the development of business continuity strategies, pandemic plans, exercises/tests and maintenance activities, including administration of specialized software tools and management reporting. This position will assist in the development of disaster recovery strategies.
Job role
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank's Business Continuity Management Program (BCMP) based on established policy and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain program elements and procedures necessary for a sustainable BCMP based on compliance to regulatory requirements and to ensure a state of corporate preparedness. Conduct research and monitor BCMP elements for regulatory compliance requirements and alignment with requirements in areas of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
- Monitor success of the Business Continuity Management Program Requirements through overseeing the identification of risks to the continuance of business operations, the coordination of projects related to mitigation of risks and the development and administration of business continuity plan exercises, strategies, process and procedures. Assists in the preparation for both internal and external audit (OCC, Investor, etc.) events and activities. Create and maintain management reporting processes and assist with preparation of annual board reports. Develop, implement and manage a corporate-wide employee training awareness program.
- Administer and support the annual process of conducting and validating Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analyses. Identify requirements to support prioritization for recovery of applications, dependencies and business processes based on criticality, along with changes and new opportunities for continuity and recovery strategies that meet the business needs through BIA and Risk Assessment results. Coordinate, support, and assist business processes in the development, exercise, and maintenance of crisis management and business continuity plans. Collaborate with Vendor Risk Management the review and monitoring of BCM preparedness with third parties, vendors, etc.
