Location: UK, Fareham
Opportunity for a Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Manager to join Thales’ Digital Information Security (DIS) department to Interface with customers and lead on activities related to DR/BC services throughout the UK. You will be customer facing, representing Thales in delivering Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity expertise to our leading roster of banking clients.
Reviewing and scoping of Personalisation and card manufacture continuity solution services, production of effort statement (Statement of Work), identification and recruitment of resource allocation, and time scale definition prior to acceptance. Creation, publication and ownership of Thales plans.
Development of the continuity solution with the nominated recovery site (s).
Set up support/exercising
Planning, scheduling, and education of involved areas particularly production, data reception, and Customer Services for information management, and ensure that executables (e.g. cards) are in place at point of setup/testing.
After ensuring product and service definition is clear, documenting the complete service, roles and responsibilities for both internal and external customer use.
Check service operation roles and responsibilities are clear (and then close setup phase).
Production of progress reports, progress to plan, maintenance of issues and risks logs, R.A.G. status etc where applicable, defining and reporting workload and availability, maintaining pertinent records and detail on all personalisation and manufacture continuity project work.
Ongoing Maintenance to DR services
Ensuring that all agreed continuity services and all related documentation is maintained and regularly updated (with the assistance of appropriate internal teams).
Organizing, implementing, supporting and documenting continuous improvement actions on bespoke Disaster Recovery Plans with customers and/or internally.
Annual Exercise of Individual Continuity Services
Upon customer request, scope, plan, manage, and execution of individual customer continuity services. Planning test schedules and providing accurate reporting and continual improvement processes for each exercise.
Providing support and assistance with the maintenance and any necessary updates of the Thales BCMS. Assisting with BIA and RA data collection for all aspects of the business. Providing assistance with audit and RFI requests from customers in relation to the Thales BCMS. Defining, organizing, and assisting with BCMS exercises, trainings and testing including, organizing schedules, scenario writing, scoping, planning, execution and reporting.
Ensure all best practices for BCMS are rolled out within UK personalisation sites in conjunction with Corporate.
