Regional Director Business Continuity and Resilience

The Regional Director will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, guiding and overseeing all Business Continuity (BC) and Resilience efforts impacting Chubb operations located in their regional remit comprising APAC Non-Life, Japan, APAC Life, India. Working with existing regional BC Leads, S/he would be responsible for a proactive approach to the successful implementation and support of all global, regional and local business continuity initiatives in their respective region and would be the ambassador for Business Continuity to GSSBCM and regional BC leads, local stakeholders and leadership. This role will report into the Global Head of BC at the Center of Excellence in the US and the APAC Regional Operations Manager.

Job role

  • Serve as the primary interface for business continuity and resilience for senior leadership, regional stakeholders, country leadership, and country offices
  • In support and collaboration with the APAC Non-Life/Japan /APAC Life/India BC Leads, work closely with regional businesses and functions in driving the management of business continuity risks, BIAs/plans and also providing them with appropriate standards, processes and guidance to develop consistent implementation of an enterprise-wide business continuity program
  • Responsible for oversight and implementation of the global BC program together with regional BC leads, including but not limited to, driving consistency of BC efforts, maintenance, continuous improvement, training, and adherence to all applicable policies and standards
  • Coordinate regional level exercises with BC leads and local incident management teams
  • Track, manage, and close issues identified by exercises, reviews, audits, and incidents
  • Represent Business Continuity in any regional or country-specific meetings
  • Oversee and manage support staff
  • Drive operational and business resiliency efforts as part of a consistent global initiative
  • Develop and drive compliance of a standardized metrics collection and reporting cadence for Business Continuity
  • Monitor, respond to, manage, and escalate (where appropriate) all business continuity incidents and act as the subject matter expert to coordinate directly with impacted businesses and operations teams
  • Responsible for interacting with, and influencing, employees at all levels and in all functions of the organization, including senior leadership. Must be able to grow and foster strong relationships with employees across functions and geographic locations within their respective region
  • Support for the company’s corporate security program within the region
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by BC or Operations leadership.
