This role will provide leadership capability and systematic solution provision to Peter Mac on Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness. Through planning, implementation and review of Peter Mac’s Emergency Management Framework. In addition to processes and programs to meet regulatory requirements, industry best practices/ standards, operational requirements and mitigate safety risk.
The purpose of the role is to develop and implement robust and innovative strategies to increase Emergency management/ Business Continuity capability. The Emergency Management/ Business Continuity Coordinator is accountable for identifying, managing and delivering Peter Mac’s emergency management responsibilities within a risk based, all hazards approach to prevention preparedness, response and recovery.
This role contributes substantially to the strategic direction of the service through development, coordination, implementation and delivery of the Internal Emergency Management Program. Therefore requires the formation of strong relationships with senior management, staff and building partners of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
The role provides HSW and Emergency Preparedness operational support, advice and guidance to all Peter Mac staff on the development of actions to ensure legal compliance with regard to OHS, emergency and accreditation. Creating an environment that supports capability building with managers.
This opportunity is Fixed Term Full Time for a period of 12 months.
