Senior Advisor Business Continuity

The Senior Advisor Business Continuity is responsible for the implementation and management of the Ministry’s Business Continuity policy and framework.  In this role you will be required to provide effective specialist advice, direction and leadership to ensure that the business continuity programme positions the Ministry well to respond to business disruption thereby enhancing its resilience.  

This role will help embed the Business Continuity framework into MSD through the development and implementation of the business continuity lifecycle, which would include  programmes such as continuous improvement, quality assurance, validation, education and awareness, monitoring and reporting.

Identifying and managing business continuity risks and their impact on BCEM policy and BC framework will be a key part of this role along with engagement with business units to uplift resilience and awareness.  The Senior Advisor Business Continuity would also be responsible for engagement with business continuity practitioners in the government sector and wider business community to ensure the Ministry of Social Development is current and up to date with modern business continuity processes.

You will also represent the Ministry on business continuity related projects or working groups (such as the across government business continuity group, business continuity working group).
