The Opportunity
This is a newly created role as this Nigel Wright Group client further strengthen their technology team. With a hybrid working approach, this role can be based in London, Coventry or Darlington depending on your location.
The role
The Head of Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance is responsible for ensuring that the Technology and Operational Resilience environment within the company operates within their Risk Management Framework and adheres to the current Risk Appetite.
You will be responsible for
- Leading and owning the Technology, Risk Management (TRM) and Operational Resilience (OR) capability
- Defining, documenting and ultimately embedding and maintaining the TRM framework and processes within the risk management framework
- Defining, documenting and embedding the OR and processes with the risk management framework
Overall, responsible for governance and teams, internal and external 3rd party suppliers; Risk management including ownership of the BCP/DR needs; Compliance and Audit and delivery of the formal compliance framework within ISO27001 and also Security, ensuring security posture is protected and maintained.
The person
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of defining, documenting and gaining approval for embedding and maintaining Technology Risk Management and Operational Resilience frameworks and processes. You will have a background in financial services or other heavily regulated organization.
You will have the tenacity to build and manage collaborative relationships to ensure the best solutions to support operational resilience. You will be proactive, leading from the front and be a facilitator, diplomatically setting expectations with stakeholders and taking ownership of your tasks. You have the ability to influence decision making and be at the heart of delivering practical solutions. Nigel Wright Group is looking for an enabler and delivery partner, taking stakeholders on a journey. Related qualification of ISO 27001 (Risk Management Framework) would be beneficial but not essential.
