Business continuity in 2018: interim survey results

Every year Continuity Central conducts a survey looking at the changing trends and challenges in the business continuity profession. The interim results of the latest survey in the series are now available and are as follows...

Initial demographics

So far, the majority of respondents (83 percent) are from business continuity professionals operating in large organizations. 7 percent are from medium sized and 10 percent are from small sized organizations. The top responding country so far is the United States, where 35 percent of respondents are located; followed by the UK (24 percent) and Australia (10 percent).

What level of changes do you expect to see in the way your organization manages business continuity during 2018?

Respondents so far indicate that the majority (55 percent) of business continuity professionals expect only to see small changes to the way their organization manages business continuity during 2018. However, a significant 34 percent of respondents are anticipating large changes. The final survey results will provide a breakdown of the actual changes that respondents are expecting and an analysis of the trends in this area.
