IBHS introduces Spanish Edition of its Open for Business-EZ business continuity guidance

The US Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IHBS) has developed a Spanish version of its popular OFB-EZ (Open for Business-EZ) business continuity toolkit. The free, eight-module program helps guide businesses in the development of their first business continuity plan.

In conjunction with the rollout of the OFB-EZ Spanish edition, IBHS has also introduced new guidance for tracking essential business equipment during a disaster. ‘Know Your Equipment’ provides a path for small business owners to highlight equipment essential to staying open before, during and after a disaster. This OFB-EZ module is available in English and Spanish.

The translation of the OFB-EZ toolkit into Spanish was undertaken by the Tulsa (Okla.) Community College’s Translating Skills Program, in collaboration with the Tulsa-based Disaster Resilience Network’s ┬áBusiness and Cross-Cultural Councils.
