The US NFPA is combining its NFPA 1600, NFPA 1616, and NFPA 1620 standards into one consolidated standard, NFPA 1660; and the First Draft Report is now available for public comment.

The current proposed title for NFPA 1660 is the ‘Standard for Emergency, Continuity, and Crisis Management: Preparedness, Response, and Recovery.’

Comments are invited via the NFPA standards portal, with a deadline of November 12, 2021.

To make a comment click here and then ‘Submit a Public Comment’. This will take you to a section where you can read the new standard and add comments as you go along.

NFPA 1660 is scheduled for publication in 2024.
