The latest business continuity news from around the world

Business Continuity Awareness Week (BCAW) is an annual global event, led by the BCI. In 2023 it will be held on 15th-19th May and will revolve around the theme of ‘Embracing the challenge of resilience’.

Explaining the theme, the BCI says:

“Recent events - from the war in Ukraine, the rise of inflation, the high cost of living, supply chain disruptions, to the energy supply crisis - are pressuring organizations to adopt resilience as the ‘norm’. Staying resilient, building resilience, and maintaining resilience are top priorities for organizations worldwide.

“This year, BCAW 2023 has been designed to support professionals and organizations in raising awareness and embedding business continuity to build resilience so that they can thrive in the face of adversity.”

Each day of Business Continuity Awareness Week will focus on a particular sub-theme, as follows:

  • Monday, 15th May: Cyber Resilience
  • Tuesday, 16th May: Supply Chain Resilience
  • Wednesday, 17th May: Operational Resilience
  • Thursday, 18th May: Personal Resilience
  • Friday, 19th May: Organizational Resilience.

Sponsored by Riskonnect, BCAW 2023 will include a programme of webinars, downloadable resources, articles, blogs, and other items.
