Airmic, ASIS International, The BCI, and the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together under a new ‘Resilience Alliance’ to enhance industry collaboration, collectively promote the importance of resilience, and establish good practice resilience initiatives.

The Resilience Alliance will “address the implications of the changes and sudden disruptions such as those faced by organizations already in 2020. It also aims to develop and promote a common mutual understanding of what is meant by the term ‘resilience’”.

The Resilience Alliance will undertake joint communication and thought leadership initiatives and research projects on the good practices that organizations can develop and adopt.

The organizations say that the basis for collaboration is as follows:

The Resilience Alliance Chair and Secretariat will be rotational between the member bodies on a yearly basis from 1st April 2021, starting with The BCI. The incumbent secretariat will agree immediate and longer terms plans and priorities.
