Airmic sets out plans for 2021 events and activities

The risk management association, Airmic, says it is cautiously planning for a return to physical events in the second half of 2021, and for the return of its flagship Annual Conference in October.

The Airmic Annual Conference will be a physical event in Brighton from 4th to 6th October.

The objectives of the Annual Conference are to enable partner-member face-to-face networking and meetings and to provide knowledge sharing and learning opportunities.

Delaying the conference from June to October has necessitated moving the venue from Manchester to Brighton. This provides a greater leadup time.

The theme of the Annual Conference is ‘Driving Transformation - Shaping the future’, with applications from positioning for growth to creating an environmentally sustainable future.

Before the conference, a programme of Forum events will start with a Technology Forum 13th May. The focus will be on how the pandemic has pushed organizations over the ‘technology tipping point’ and transformed business forever.

The second Forum will be a fastTrack Forum, taking place 8th July. This Forum will focus on the upskilling, networking, and career development opportunities vital to fastTrackers in Airmic’s member and partner organizations.

Following the annual conference, Airmic is planning an Enterprise Risk Management Forum in November, and the return of the Annual Dinner 7th December as the final keystone in a return towards business as usual.
