Airmic appoints Claire Combes as new board chair

Airmic has announced that Claire Combes will take over as chair of Airmic from 1st September. She replaces Tracey Skinner, the current chair.

Claire’s risk management career has spanned several interlinked disciplines in three decades, from chartered accountancy and taking responsibility for treasury and financial roles, before adding internal audit, health and safety, and insurance management to her expanding CV.

“Something I’ve learned in undertaking perhaps 20-30 different types of risk roles in my career is that everything is connected from a risk management perspective,” she says. “The relationships between risk and insurance and between overlapping disciplines are pervasive and fundamentally interlinked.”

Claire will work alongside Julia Graham, Airmic’s recently appointed CEO.
