Changes at the Association of Continuity Professionals

The Board of Directors of the Association of Continuity Professionals (ACP) has selected FirstPoint Management Resources (FPMR) as their new association management provider.

ACP Board Chairman Michael Gifford is upbeat about the change. “This year we are focused on ‘The Road to Recovery, Viability, and Relevance’. One of the steps we are taking is to retain FirstPoint Management Resources (FPMR) as our association management company, effective May 1, 2022.  We are excited to welcome Jim Booth, CAE, General Manager and his team to ACP!”

Jim, now ACP Interim Executive Director, said: “We are deeply honored to have been selected by ACP and we will be working hard to earn the trust of ACP members. In 2018 our office experienced a fire which forced our office to activate our contingency plan and relocate to temporary workspace as the office was renovated after the fire. We understand that level of disruption and we want to support ACP members as they expand their knowledge and network so that they can help other companies better prepare for disruptive events.”

One of the first areas of activity for ACP leaders and FPMR will be working together to craft a new strategic plan for the organization. Preparations are underway to gather data from current and former members and leaders to assist the board in the planning process.
