Quorum has launched the onQ vApp Freemium Edition of its award winning failover solution. Quorum’s onQ software delivers patented one-click high availability and disaster recovery for companies of all sizes around the world.

Users can now download the onQ vApp Freemium Edition software from the Quorum website at no charge and immediately see onQ’s market-leading ease-of-use and reliability in action.

onQ vApp Freemium Edition is fully-featured, enabling users to experience the full range of the benefits associated with the Quorum onQ appliance, such as ensuring that critical applications are always ready-to-run (or test) in the Quorum cloud — as well as on a local onQ high-availability (HA) appliance.

The onQ vApp Freemium Edition offers failover protection for a single physical or virtual server running the Microsoft Windows Server operating system, and is compatible with VMware ESXi. The associated perpetual license includes email support and a discussion forum.

“The launch of onQ vApp Freemium Edition meets a growing demand for disaster recovery to be delivered as a software service, giving users the ability to protect a critical server and test Quorum’s solution in their own environment,” said Gabriel Gambill, senior director of product and technical operations at Quorum. “It’s a fast, frictionless way for SMB and enterprise users to see the market-leading power and usability of our business continuity solution.”
