UK Counter Terrorism Policing has launched a new advertising campaign  which aims to encourage retailers and other businesses operating in crowded places to ‘play their part in countering the terrorist threat’.

Focused on Christmas, the campaign will encourage the public to remain vigilant and look out for suspicious behaviour and will inform people how to report their concerns, providing a ‘whole society’ approach where police, security staff, retail workers and the public ‘come together to minimise the chance of attacks and mitigate the impact they can have’.

Specialist advice for companies operating in crowded places, such as major events, sport stadia, visitor attractions, bars, theatres and shopping centres, is available on the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) website along with the ACT Awareness e-Learning tool.
