The latest resilience news from around the world

New Incident Management Flowchart published by the Security Executive Council

The Security Executive Council (SEC) has added a new Incident Management Flowchart to its resilience best practices knowledge base. SEC says that the flowchart 'describes a successful framework that can be customized for your company' and 'helps clarify that one point of contact is responsible for communicating to the various incident teams in order to alleviate the typical flood of calls/inquiries at the early stages of an incident'.

In the structure set out in the flowchart, 'regardless of the level of the incident, the IMT lead or their designate notifies the CMT Lead of an emerging critical incident. Based on the incident's severity, the CMT Lead or their designate determines when it is appropriate to communicate to respective CMT members at one of three levels'.
