Canada government schedules Sixth Annual National Roundtable for Disaster Risk Reduction

Registration is now open for the Sixth Annual National Roundtable for Disaster Risk Reduction to be held from November 2nd-3rd, 2015 in Calgary, Alberta.

The Roundtable serves as an inclusive multi-sectorial consultative mechanism to advance disaster risk reduction in Canada.  This day and a half event is open to any interested participants, including: private sector; all-levels of government; non-governmental organizations; academia; and the general public.

This year's theme for the Roundtable, ‘Charting the Future of Disaster Risk Reduction in Canada’, encourages participants to reflect on shared responsibilities for disaster risk reduction and to discuss the domestic implementation of the New Sendai Framework.

The Roundtable conference will be held at Calgary's Coast Plaza Hotel and Conference Center. Registration is free of charge, but spaces are limited. If you are interested in attending, please submit your registration to the Secretariat by emailing: drr-rrc@ps-sp.gc.ca
