ISO has released ISO 22329:2021 ‘Security and resilience — Emergency management — Guidelines for the use of social media in emergencies’. The new standard is aimed at emergency managers but provides guidance which will be useful for any organization that uses social media for crisis communications with public audiences.

ISO says that the ‘document gives guidance on the use of social media in emergency management.
