Department of Homeland Security releases critical infrastructure research plan

The US Department of Homeland Security has published a national plan to guide research activities across all 16 critical infrastructure sectors. The National Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Research and Development (CISR R&D) Plan, mandated by Presidential Policy Directive (PPD) 21, identifies priority areas that inform R&D investments, promote innovation, and guide research activities across the critical infrastructure community.

This plan outlines a path forward for stakeholders to collaborate in implementing and advancing the National CISR R&D Priority Areas. The plan was developed through a collaborative process involving public and private stakeholders from across the critical infrastructure community.
